The Local Update module replaces the paper/fax/email Local Officer Update form. It tracks who holds which position at a Local and notifies the right people automatically when that changes.

When an update is submitted, MyNATCA emails:

All officers of the Local must be kept current in MyNATCA. Appointed positions may also be tracked — contact ITC to have a position added.

Updating a position

  1. Open the Facility Dashboard — either click the Facility ID on the Profile Card on your My Profile page, or go to Facilities, search for the facility, and select it.
  2. Select Local Update in the header of the Representatives section.
  3. Check the box next to each position being updated, then enter the member's name and the effective date of the change.

A future effective date creates an overlap. MyNATCA displays both the outgoing and incoming member, with the effective date shown next to the outgoing member's name. During the overlap, both members hold any permissions tied to the position and are added to any mailing lists the position owns or belongs to.

If the Local Update button isn't there for you

The button is permission-gated to the position, not just visible to anyone signed in — if you were recently elected or appointed, ITC may not have finished provisioning that permission yet. Email [email protected] or use the red messenger icon; once ITC grants it, sign out and back in to pick up the change, since it usually won't appear in an already-open session.

If a position or member is missing

Contact NATCA ITC — email [email protected] or use the red messenger icon in MyNATCA.
