This page walks through a single bidding turn from start to finish. It takes about two minutes once your turn arrives, and most members complete it on their phone.
Summary. You will receive a text or email when it is your turn. Open the link, make your selections, and submit.
Complete this before bidding day. It is the difference between a straightforward two minutes and a last-minute scramble.
Open My Bids → profile settings and select email, text, or both. Verify your email address and phone number are current.
Text notifications require number verification: BID sends a 6-digit code that you enter yourself. This cannot be completed on your behalf.
Add [email protected] to your contacts so the notification does not route to spam.
Sign in at any time to review lines and leave days already taken, and identify your first, second, and third choices.
When everyone ahead of you in the order has finished, BID sends your notification by email, text, or both, depending on your preference. It contains a personal link.
If you are signed in, the notification also appears via the bell icon on your bidding page.

Important. Open the link only when you have the time to complete your bid. See the following section for the reason.
If the link is not available, sign in at bid.natca.org with your MyNATCA username and password — the same credentials used at my.natca.org. This leads to the same bidding page.
Once you open your bidding page, BID holds it for you so no one else can bid ahead of you. This hold is maintained by detecting that your browser remains open and active. If you switch applications, lock your phone, or step away, the hold can lapse after approximately 30 seconds. There is also a hard time limit on any single turn, set by your facility.
In practice: open the link only when ready to complete your bid immediately. If your hold lapses, your place in the order is not lost — open the link again to resume.
