What's changing

NATCA is retiring @natca.net accounts on Rackspace and moving mailboxes to NATCA Email (or to Microsoft 365 for elected and appointed representatives and national office staff). Legacy natca.net email addresses will continue to work forever but will be forwarded automatically to your natca.org address. You will not be able to log in or send email from natca.net addresses once the migration is complete.

NATCA Mail Archive

Some members have @natca.net mailboxes larger than 2 GB. When your new NATCA Email account is created, your most recent mail fills the 2 GB mailbox. Older mail that wouldn't fit is moved to the NATCA Mail Archive — a separate server that keeps it accessible without counting against your main quota.

How to access the archive

In NATCA Email webmail (email.natca.org), the archive appears as a namespace in the left sidebar, typically labeled Archive. You can read, search, and move messages from there.

In a mail app (Apple Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird), the archive uses the same server settings as your main mailbox — mail.natca.org port 993 SSL/TLS — and appears as a separate folder tree.

Retention rules

Backing up archive mail: use any of the methods on Backing up your email — they work for the archive namespace just like the main inbox.
